Sustainability has long been a guiding principle for the Lawer family—both in how they care for the land and how they bring spaces to life. At Eight North, that ethos is reflected in every detail, from the preservation of original architectural elements like the antique mahogany bar and exposed wooden truss ceilings, to the use of salvaged materials and sustainably sourced finishes. The result is a space that honors the past while looking toward the future.

Beyond the Pour

 ReCork

At Eight North, no cork goes to waste. We proudly participate in the ReCork program, collecting used wine corks from our tastings, wine program, and guests who'd like to drop some off. Rather than heading to the landfill, those corks are recycled and given new life — a small but meaningful part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability. Next time you visit, feel free to bring your corks along.

Tinfoil Project

That little piece of foil on the neck of every wine bottle? It can do a lot of good. Eight North participates in the Tinfoil Project in partnership with the Teacher Resource Center of the North Bay — a nonprofit that provides North Bay public school teachers with free classroom supplies. We collect the tin capsules from our wine program, which are recycled and converted into funding that goes directly to educators and students across the region. It's sustainability with a purpose, and a perfect example of what it means to be community-focused.

FEED Collective

We are proud partners of the FEED Cooperative, a food hub network of over 60 North Bay farms supporting ecologically sustainable practices. We are committed to showcasing the best agricultural products from our region, and our partnership is just one more way we support our local farms and communities while doing good for the planet.

Our Partners

At Eight North, we’re proud to spotlight an incredible community of local and regional purveyors, winemakers, brewers, roasters, and artisans who help us bring the best of Calistoga to your table and glass.
